Holiday Giving Through CRCHC’s Angel Tree
December 9, 2025Cabarrus Rowan Community Health Centers (CRCHC) is proud to announce the opening of a Food Pantry at the CRCHC Resource Center, providing nutritious food to families experiencing food insecurity. This new community resource supports CRCHC’s mission to serve the community beyond medical care and strengthen overall health and well-being.
The CRCHC Food Pantry will officially open Wednesday, November 11, 2025, and will be open weekly during the following hours:
-
Wednesdays: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
-
Fridays: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
The CRCHC Resource Center opened in late August 2025 with the goal of becoming a trusted community hub where families can access essential resources and support. In addition to the Food Pantry, behavioral health services are available every Thursday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM to support mental and emotional well-being.
“Our care goes beyond the clinic,” said Brittany Payne, Chief Administrative Officer of CRCHC. “We are here to serve our community by any means necessary. The Resource Center is a welcoming place where people can find support. We want families to know that CRCHC is not just a health center, but a partner in their well-being. By opening this Food Pantry, we are taking another step toward walking alongside our neighbors and ensuring no one goes without the essentials they need to thrive.”
Food insecurity is a real challenge for many families in Cabarrus County. According to Feeding America’s 2023 Map the Meal Gap report, approximately 1 in 8 residents (around 11%) struggle with access to enough food to meet their basic needs, and nearly 1 in 6 children face food insecurity. Many families are forced to make difficult choices between paying bills and putting meals on the table. CRCHC’s Food Pantry aims to relieve some of that stress by providing healthy, fresh, and non-perishable foods to families who need them most.
