November Is Diabetes Awareness Month: Take Charge of Your Health with Cabarrus Rowan Community Health Centers
November 7, 2025The Cabarrus Rowan Community Health Centers (CRCHC) celebrated the spooky season in style with its first-ever Haunted House Extravaganza on October 24, 2025. Hosted at the brand-new CRCHC Resource Center, this family-friendly community event brought together 150 to 200 guests, including families, children, and CRCHC staff, for a night full of fun, laughter, and Halloween spirit.
A Family-Friendly Halloween Event for the Community
The Haunted House Extravaganza featured several uniquely themed areas designed and built by CRCHC’s Outreach and Marketing Department. Guests explored the Creepy Crawly Cave, Hocus Pocus Hideout, and Boo-gie Bash, each filled with engaging games, decorations, and interactive activities.
Children who journeyed through the Creepy Crawly Cave received free backpacks, adding a special treat to their adventure. Every corner of the Resource Center was transformed into a festive wonderland, showcasing CRCHC’s creativity and dedication to creating family-friendly community events.
Creative Crafts with Dr. Lydia Adams
One of the event’s highlights was the craft station hosted by Dr. Lydia Adams, where children made Halloween-themed crafts using pipe cleaners and other fun materials. This hands-on activity allowed kids to express their creativity while taking home a memorable keepsake from the evening.
Designed and Built by CRCHC’s Outreach and Marketing Department
Every element of the Haunted House, from the spooky decorations to the themed exhibits — was handcrafted by CRCHC’s Outreach and Marketing team. The effort reflected the organization’s strong commitment to community engagement, collaboration, and creativity.
Positive Feedback and Community Impact
Attendees shared overwhelmingly positive feedback, praising the event’s festive atmosphere, attention to detail, and family-focused activities. Many community members also enjoyed exploring the new CRCHC Resource Building, learning more about the organization’s ongoing work to support local families.
