CRCHC Resource Center Hosts First-Ever Haunted House Extravaganza
November 5, 2025Charlotte residents may have noticed a bright blue mobile unit parked outside Garinger High School recently, but what they might not know is the difference it’s making inside. The Cabarrus Rowan Community Health Centers (CRCHC) mobile unit spent the day providing essential vaccinations to students, helping ensure they’re protected, healthy, and ready to take on a successful school year.
For many families, access to healthcare can be challenging due to transportation barriers, busy schedules, or lack of insurance. CRCHC’s mobile unit helps bridge that gap by bringing care directly to the community, right where it’s needed most. By partnering with Garinger High School, CRCHC made it possible for students to get caught up on their vaccinations, giving parents peace of mind and helping schools maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.
“Seeing students come in, roll up their sleeves, and leave smiling reminds us why this work matters,” said Christina Echevarria, Mobile Unit/Special Populations Manager. “We’re not just providing shots; we’re helping families stay on track with their health and giving students the opportunity to participate in everything from academics to winter sports without worry.”
With winter sports season approaching, ensuring students are up to date on their required vaccinations means they can safely join their teams, stay active, and engage with their peers. It’s a small step that makes a big difference in keeping both the school and the larger community safe.
The mobile health initiative is part of CRCHC’s ongoing mission to make healthcare accessible, equitable, and compassionate for everyone. Whether in schools, neighborhoods, or community events, CRCHC continues to bring care where it’s needed most, one stop, one student, and one healthy future at a time.
