Cabarrus Rowan Community Health Centers (CRCHC) is pleased to announce that the School Health Alliance for Forsyth County (SHA) has officially joined its network, marking a significant step forward in expanding access to high quality, integrated healthcare services for children and families across Forsyth County.
This strategic partnership strengthens and leverages the collective expertise and shared mission of both organizations to ensure that every child, regardless of background, insurance status, or ability to pay, has access to comprehensive, patient centered care. By bringing School Health Alliance under the CRCHC umbrella, the organizations will enhance service delivery across medical, behavioral health, and oral health care, meeting children where they are, both in schools and in the community.
At a time when children and families are facing growing healthcare access and behavioral health challenges, school based integrated care has become increasingly critical. The partnership between CRCHC and School Health Alliance reflects a shared commitment to improving health outcomes, reducing barriers to care, and supporting the overall well being and academic success of students throughout Forsyth County.
CRCHC currently provides comprehensive care for more than 19,000 patients across Cabarrus, Rowan, and Mecklenburg counties through its growing network of health centers. The organization delivers integrated medical, behavioral health, and oral health services designed to address the full spectrum of patient needs and improve overall health outcomes. The addition of School Health Alliance further expands CRCHC’s regional footprint and reinforces its commitment to increasing access to care in underserved communities across North Carolina.
“The integration of School Health Alliance into CRCHC represents a powerful alignment of vision, mission, and impact,” said Don Holloman, CEO of Cabarrus Rowan Community Health Centers. “Together, we are expanding our ability to provide coordinated, high quality care that supports the whole child, physically, emotionally, and developmentally, while removing barriers to access for families in Forsyth County. This partnership allows us to strengthen the connection between healthcare and education while advancing health equity for the communities we serve.”
The integration will allow for:
• Expanded Access to Care: Increased availability of school based and community based health services, reducing gaps in care and improving early intervention.
• Integrated Service Delivery: A coordinated model that brings together primary care, behavioral health, and oral health services to address the full spectrum of children’s health needs.
• Improved Health Outcomes: Enhanced continuity of care, leading to better long term health and academic success for students.
• Stronger Community Partnerships: Collaboration with schools, families, and local stakeholders to create a sustainable, community driven approach to child health.
• Continued Service and Growth: Existing School Health Alliance services and school partnerships will continue uninterrupted as the organizations integrate operations and expand services throughout the region.
School Health Alliance has been a trusted provider of comprehensive school based health services in Forsyth County since 1997. Joining CRCHC enables the organization to scale its impact, leverage expanded clinical and operational resources, and further innovate in delivering care directly within educational settings.
“This partnership allows us to deepen our commitment to the children and families we serve,” said Stephanie Daniel, Ph.D., Executive Director of School Health Alliance. “By aligning with CRCHC, we can broaden our reach and scope of services to continue to ensure that students receive the comprehensive care they need to thrive, both in and out of the classroom.”
The expansion into the Forsyth County school system reflects CRCHC’s continued commitment to building a stronger regional health system focused on delivering integrated, community based healthcare across North Carolina. Through innovative models of care that prioritize prevention, early intervention, and whole person wellness, CRCHC remains dedicated to advancing health equity and ensuring that children and families have access to high quality medical, behavioral health, and oral health services close to where they live, learn, and grow.
